Podcasts aren’t new under the sun in 2019, but they have become increasingly popular within the last few years. There are thousands upon thousands of great podcasts currently available and streaming on various platforms such as iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, SoundCloud, you name it, and more. I tend to do a lot of driving to and from the Washington DC metropolitan region (#DMV) as an entrepreneur and business woman. More than likely you'll find me sitting in roundtrip traffic for at least two hours. What's a better investment of time than to be able to multitask and kill two birds with one stone (Side note: I’d prefer not to kill any birds at all but hopefully you get the point I’m trying to make) by making a DC commute AND listening to some of my favorite and eclectic variety of podcasts?
These car rides allow me the ability to drive to my destination and listen to full podcast episodes related to business development, branding and marketing, photography, spirituality, faith, love life, financial management, and so much more. I’m able to drive where I need to and get my life together with a digital download of ideas and practices that work for other entrepreneurs that I can apply immediately to my own business. I greatly value this time to just sit and brainstorm how to continue building my very own business. Oftentimes, I even find myself taking plenty of notes at stop lights (safety first!).
I get my podcast on when I'm culling and editing images, while showering (if I'm not in a shower music kind of vibe), or even during some down time when I just need to clear and relax my mind. I really enjoy listening to each of these podcasters, also my fellow human beings, who allow themselves to be fully transparent and vulnerable. That takes so much courage and I appreciate the sharing of real life lessons learned from their own experiences for the same of helping another. Podcast episodes, in a sense, do provide some type of therapy (Please note that although they are helpful, podcasts are not a substitution for actual therapy).
With that being said, I'd love to share with you some of my favorite podcast that I regularly listen to and enjoy! Once again this is not an all-inclusive list of all of my favorite podcasts and none of these podcasts are listed in any particular order. They are mainly the ones that I have been listening to lately.
Enough chatting. Let’s get into this list!
