I recently picked up a new Oshiro 60mm f/2.8 macro prime lens and let me tell you this: THIS. LENS. WORKS. MAGIC! I absolutely love this lens and the level of detail is amazing. The lens itself has a metal frame and is completely manual, so I will have complete control of what's in or out of focus. This is a wonderful way for me to explore macro photography and life at a macro level.
This lens is hefty in build (which is a good thing) and once I got it, I popped it on my lens and started shooting EVERYTHING (lol). Blankets. Shoes. Food. Hair strands. Eyes. Everything. Below are just a few more examples of images that I took of various people and things around the house.
This is a macro black and white portrait of the lens cap up close and personal.
Here is a macro image of my sister's eye.
Here is a macro image of my Fitbit metal and purple watch band.
I was even able to take this lovely macro photography of this beautiful cookie cake that was created by Sweetish Desserts, LLC (check her out and order a cake while you're at it)!
