So Imprints Family! Last month, I did a thing! At the beginning of June, from May 31st-June 5th, I hopped on my Instagram Live each and every night that week to connect with the people and share what God laid on my heart at the time and I relaunched my photography website!

I have been working on my website since the very beginning of 2020 and it wasn't until my fellow photographer friend encouraged me to go all out and relaunch my website. I can finally say IT IS DONE! Of course, it's not in mint condition and I have plenty more things to add to it, but my revamped site can stand on its own as is. If you missed each of the relaunch week live streams, you can watch the replays of each day on my *NEW* YouTube channel by clicking any of the links below:

As I reflect on the experience that I literally launched myself into headfirst, I learned so many great lessons and takeaways from following through with the relaunch amidst the global pandemic and the recent deaths of unarmed Black people in America, something that could have totally discouraged me.

Here are some of the lessons I learned:

  • Consistency is truly key. Consistency is not just my word of the year for 2020, but it is an integral aspect of my lifestyle that I must have in order to establish structure and discipline to take both my craft and my business seriously.

  • When I practiced being intentional, consistent and prepared throughout the week, I noticed that many things in my life began to fall into place and I actually was on time for once! Each night, I began my live stream exactly at 6:00 PM on the dot, even if I still encountered some technical difficulties or was still setting up a few items.

  • I knew was bound to experience a few hiccups along the way, but what made a huge difference is that I planned, prayed, and prepared for what I was meant to share each evening. Even when things didn't go exactly as planned, I rolled with the punches, improvised, and stuck to the objective at hand. At the end of the day, I was still able to provide valuable content to whoever joined my live stream or caught the replay of the live stream.

  • Preparation and planning helped me allocate when to distance myself from the noise and distractions, and to truly put my game face on.

  • I tried something new and now I have new brand content that I can recycle on my website, and social media platforms to reach a greater audience.

I am growing as a businesswoman, an entrepreneur, and a believer in Jesus Christ. What I did was an act of doing works as a result of my faith so that others may see the light of Jesus that is within me. I had fun, my #ImprintsFamily interacted with me, and new connections were made via my new website.

My mom reminded me after the fact that June 5th was also special because it was the date that my grandmother left this earth in 2002. Now June 5th holds another significant meaning in my life.

What do you think of the new site?
