There is so much beauty in grace. 💛
The word "grace" by definition according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary (online) is "unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification" and is also defined as the "disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency." When I think about the word "grace", I think about how kind, loving, and merciful God has been to me in my life although I am undeserving of blessings and deserve punishment, and I should be dead. God has given me so many blessings and has allowed me to live to experience joy, peace, and happiness in this lifetime. All I can say is "BUT GOD"!
I wrote this message because oftentimes many of the people around me that I am in a relationship with or interact with, myself included, can be so hard on themselves. Absolutely nothing great can come out of adding additional stress and pressure to our lives on top of the pressures we are already facing in this modern changing world. We only have one life to live and learn, and there is so much room for growth and grace. I pray that this message reaches those of you out there who are:
struggling with being hard on yourself or beating yourself up with life decisions and circumstances;
often experiencing #impostersyndrome in your personal life, career, or work setting;
feeling like you're just not doing enough or you're not where you're supposed to be in life; and
in need of some positive change and for burdens to be lifted.
I want you to know that you matter. You are worthy. You are important. You are needed. You are exactly where you are supposed to be right now in the present.
Although life is challenging, it can also be filled with many beautiful moments of love, joy, and peace. I have to constantly remind myself that everything will be okay even if things do not feel great or things are uncertain. I have hope because of the love and mercy that God has for me. When I am weak, He is strong. There is a greater story to be told and I just have to keep pressing on and doing what I can do on my own while letting God handle the rest.
1 Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV) says:
"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
Because of His love, grace, and mercy for me, I can rest in Him. Not only can I rest in the grace that He has given to me, but because of His countless examples of grace, mercy, and love, I can show myself the love that I need and bestow grace on myself and others. I pray that you may be encouraged to just breathe and know that there is beauty in the grace that we give to ourselves and extend to others.
Are you ready to make room for grace in your life?
With peace, love, and happiness,
✌🏽💛😊
