Love Never Fails.
The United Love Never Fails Festival was held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Heritage Square Apartments Neighborhood Park located in New Carrollton, MD. Event volunteers wore T-shirts with the words "Love Never Fails" in unison, a reference from the scripture found in 1 Corinthians 13:8 (New King James Version) of the Holy Bible which says:
"Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
The primary focus of this community outreach event was to show love to the nearby community upon which United Baptist Church (United), led by Pastor Everett Pope, serves. This event was filled with food, various game stations, live musical performances, demonstrations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and opportunities for prayer, and it ended with a back-to-school bookbag drive for K-12 students preparing to start school in just a few weeks. Over 200 bags filled with essential school supplies were distributed and at least one child publicly made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ.
